Ischia is the biggest and most beautiful island in the Gulf of Naples and is one of the most famous seaside and touristic spa centres in the world. It is also famous for its unequalled natural beauty, mild climate, thermal waters, modern tourist facilities and most of all, for its wine which has been produced on the island for many years.
Forio (where the hotel is located), is the second major town of Ischia and stretches between 2 promontories: Punta Caruso (at Zaro) and Punta Imperatore. It is the only town on the island which has preserved its entire historical centre with its tiny streets, churches, towers and monuments - all of which are unaltered from their original construction.
The wavy shoreline of Forio allows bathing not just from the beaches but also from other more secluded spots. It is also just a short bus ride to the natural hot springs of Sorgeto, a favorite place in any season for a therapeutic midnight dip.
